Bangs with fine hair?

I have really fine, blonde hair, but I have a lot of it, so it appears a little thicker. I really want chunky bangs, like a rock-star look, but I'm not convinced that's possible with my hair type. The rest of my hair is very long with subtle layers, and it's slightly wavy. I kind of like it so long because if makes my face look longer, and I'm also concerned that bangs would make my face look fat.

Does anyone have any knowledge about bangs and fine hair, or styling suggestions if I do get them?

well, I'm brunette, but I also have fine hair...I have chunky bangs and it works just fine...i find it works better if you let your hair air dry instead of blow dry, and don't use conditioner...or at least try not to get conditioner on the bangs part...

I have really thin blonde hair and I had bangs. It looked really good because since it's so fine, it doesnt look like your hair is trying to overtake your face.

If you want to change your look then bangs are definately the quickest and easiest way to do that. I think you should go for it but make sure you go somewhere where the person knows what they're doing.
