Short hair...in desperate need of help!!!?

My friend had gorgeous long hair...until today. She went in to get it cut and through a miscommunication error, the woman cut it off above shoulder length! She's never had hair that short. It's not even styled, the chick just hacked it all off. She doesn't know what to do, and I can't help because I don't have any visuals to work with. All I know is this: it's shorter than shoulder-length, it's thick, wavy, and she's brunette. School starts back up TOMORROW!!! Help, please!!! Thanks so much in advance. :)

Its already short so it doesnt need cutting. Curling it slightly might work or maybe clipping it up not the ponytail way. Let some hair run down on her face.

put it up. or she cn go somewhere else and get it layered, and then textureize it after straightening it

for an immediate fix, wear a hat!!

baseball caps, military style hats, trucker hats, its all good. if its winter/cold where you are, have her wear a knit hat (like a beanie or toque). if she feels like being a little funky, find a Santa hat. it doesnt matter that its past christmas, she can just say she's getting into the christmas spirit a little later than everybody else.

Look for something bright, or something with a pattern - itll detract from any uneven-ness in the cut.

unless your school has a dress code against hats, dont worry about it - they're super cool. i think that over a quarter of my school wears hats daily, including girls. it works on everybody, from preps to emos to goths to scenes (i've definitely seen it on all of them)
