Will my hair still be wavy if i cut it?

It is about that long in the picture below and about that wavy or lil more....i want to cut it up to my shoulder in layers or course...i want to try something new....but will it still saty wavy because it wasn't always wavy...it got wavy when i had a period because you know that your hair texture does change when you get your period. Thanks!
