no it dont if you have curly or wavy thick hair, it makes it way harder to straighten and may cause more damage.

It can help your curls lie down more %26amp;%26amp; kinda like fall on top of each other.I did that 2 my hair %26amp;%26amp; it got thinner %26amp;%26amp; more manageable.Try it=) o yea, it is a good idea to straighten it b4 the cut, so it will be more precise

well, it's just a cut, so they're not bad for your hair. But over straightening is =). Soo a lot of people opt for layers since (especially at this current time) they add texture to the hair...curls tend to look really pretty with layers....especially a long base with gradual shorter layers =)

I got layers and I love em...I think that they are fairly easy to take care of, and they make it so your hair isn't so plain. I got tapered layers and a razor cut. I love it! Best thing to do is to talk to a reliable hair stylist. Good luck!

Layers do not hurt your hair, it is only more cutting involved. It is easier to style because you are working with less hair. It adds shape and movement to straight hair and when you wear it curly it is more of an uniform curl all over as opposed to flatter on top and poofy on the bottom. You should try them out, make sure they DO NOT use a razor when cutting your layers. This will cause total havoc to your head, It will cause your hair to frizz up, the only people that can get away with a razor cut are those with thin, (naturally) straight hair. Good Luck!

yea you should definitely get some layers if your looking for a cute style. also if you have thin hair it really gives it body.
